Marouane Fellaini will not sign a new contract at Manchester United and would be prepared to leave in January, according to reports.

The Belgium international is out of contract at the end of the season but is showing little interest in signing a new deal.

It’s understood manager Jose Mourinho is keen to keep him at Old Trafford but it is having little sway on the former Everton man.

The Expressreport that Fellaini has no intention of staying and has already begun looking for a new team.

The player is thought to be frustrated with a lack of game time this season that has seen him start just four matches in all competitions.

The report adds that he would be prepared to go in January – in the hope of more game time ahead of the World Cup – and that he’s already been approached with an offer from China.

While Fellaini will be free to discuss a move to another club during the January window, Manchester United would be likely to block any deal that sees him leave before the end of the season.

The news comes at a time when Fellaini is out with a mysterious knee injury which meant he missed the recent 2-2 draw with Leicester.
