Rapper Kanye West shared an awkward, sales-pitch-like tweet Sunday to tech entrepreneur Elon Musk waxing poetic about the bell and whistles his Tesla Model S contains.
“I really love my Tesla. Im in the future. Thank you Elon,” West told his followers. Musk, who owns nearly 20 percent of the Silicon Valley company, retweeted the comments. West doubled down on his support for the electric automaker.
“I heard these are really good for the environment,” West noted in a follow-up tweet. Musk called West an inspiration during a press conference in March. Their Twitter exchanges come as analysts continue criticizing Telsa for failing to make crucial deadlines on the Model 3.

Concern is growing over Teslas poor production performance. It managed to build a mere 260 Model 3s between July and September of 2017. That number is well below the 1,500 Tesla promised before the end of the fourth quarter of said year. Total orders for the wallet-friendly vehicle tumbled from a high of 518,000 to 455,000.
Production on the highly touted vehicle was expected to expand from 100 cars in August to 1,500 in September then plateau to 20,000 per month in December 2017. CEO Elon Musk promised to eventually produce 20,000 cars per month. The falling numbers coincide with Teslas inability to turn a profit.
