RIYADH: Sandstorms and thick dust enveloped Riyadh on Monday, with drivers being warned to exercise caution on the roads.
The extreme conditions come after sandstorms shut schools across the capital and other governorates on April 17.
The General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection warned that low visibility would continue on Tuesday due to dust in the regions of Riyadh and Eastern Province, extending to the southern parts.
Also expected to be affected by dust are the regions of Qassim, Hail, Madinah, Tabuk and the southern parts of Al Jawf.
