JEDDAH: The Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) marked the Kingdoms 88th National Day with a series of events consisting of various activities and services to commemorate the occasion.

Under the slogan, “Set off to the future,” the national carriers administrative headquarters has been lit in green to resemble the Saudi flag, along with a picture of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman shown on the entire building, and the logo of the Kingdoms Vision 2030.

The airline has cut fares of domestic flights to and from 27 airports across the Kingdom to mark the occasion, starting 88 saudi riyals on one-destination economy tickets. It also said that reduced ticket sales for domestic flights will be made available on all sales channels on Sept 22-23, for bookings on traveling dates that fall between Oct. 7 until Dec. 20 of this year.

In addition, the airline allowed its passengers to add additional 2,309 miles on their mileage membership for every domestic flight on Sept. 23. It also offered unlimited internet service to passengers on all its flights for free on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week.

Meanwhile, Saudia Holidays has offered a 28% discount on flights and hotel bookings.

Passengers on Saudia flights had the chance to watch a special video produced by Saudi men and woman to mark the occasion, as well as those at arrival and departure halls, and landmark sites across the Kingdom.

Souvenirs themed with the national day were also handed out to passengers.

And because the airline is the Saudi national football teams official sponsor, Saudia has designed content for electronic screens inside stadiums to commemorate the National Day.
