Two terrorists killed in Pulwama encounter

SRINAGAR: Two terrorists were killed in an anti-insurgency operation in Tral of south Kashmirs Pulwama district on Tuesday. While one terrorist was killed early morning, another was slain later in the day, said IG (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar.
IGP Kumar said a joint team of police, Armys 42 RR and CRPFs 180 Bn launched a cordon-and-search operation in Trals Saimoh area early on Tuesday based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists there. As the forces neared the suspected hideout, the terrorists opened fire giving way to an encounter in which one terrorist was killed.
After a brief lull, the fire exchange resumed in which the other terrorist was killed, said IGP Kumar, adding that it was a “clean operation and there was no collateral damage”. Security forces also recovered two weapons and other ammunition from the spot of the encounter. Read More – Source
