PM Modi to go ahead with Ayodhya visit as planned

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Modis visit to Ayodhya to launch construction of the Ram temple on August 5 will remain unchanged, sources said. There was speculation that there could be changes in the schedule after home minister Amit Shah tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.
However, government sources confirmed that the event would go ahead as planned, adding that social distancing norms were strictly followed during the recent cabinet meeting chaired by the PM which was attended by Shah and other ministers.
