Eighty-two NGOs in Gaza Strip sent a letter to G77 and China telling that that Mahmoud Abbas is no longer legitimate representative of Palestinians based on Palestinian Basic Law.

According to Article 36 of the Palestinian Basic Law and its amendments of 2005, which was approved by Abbas himself after becoming PA president, Abbas has lost his constitutional legitimacy since 2009.

The letter stated that Abbas punitive measures against civilians in the Gaza Strip caused their living condition to deteriorate and reviewed some of these measures, such as the unlawful deduction of salaries and the transfer of thousands of employees to early retirement.

In addition to depriving civilians of passports, reducing Gazas share of medicines, stopping medical referrals and demanding that the Israeli authorities stop supplying electricity to the Gaza Strip, is another reason that makes him illegal.

The NGOs which signed the letter stressed that Abbas continued takeover of the authority made him an authoritarian ruler through his domination of all the PA institutions.

They also stated that the dissolution of the freely-elected parliament through an illegal constitutional court, which caused a major setback in the public freedoms in the West Bank, and led to the collapse of the Palestinian political structure, and contributed to the deepening of the Palestinian division, is a third reason making him illegal.

In the letter, the NGOs called on the member states of the G 77 and China to deal with Abbas as a “rapist of power,” and not to grant any legitimacy or cover for a “traitor and political dictatorship.”

Turkeys secret military agreement with Qatar is full of loopholes and vague terms that appear to have been deliberately inserted, revealed the Nordic Monitor, a Sweden-based monitoring site.

As per the agreement, Turkey deployed thousands of troops to Qatar, while a clause in the agreement states that Qatar cannot prosecute any Turkish soldier on its land in case of any legal violations.

This clause constitutes a clear violation of Qatars sovereignty. It also recalls the period of foreign colonization of the Arab region when fo

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met on Thursday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo, part of a tour to address concerns of American allies in the Middle East.

The visit by Washingtons top diplomat comes amid confusion in the region over a surprise plan by President Donald Trumps administration to pull US troops out of Syria.

Pompeo arrived in Cairo late Wednesday following stops in Jordan and Iraq, in his longest trip since taking the post last year.

He met with Sisi in Ittihadeya Palace and is schedu
