During a panel discussion on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House,” New York Times reporter and MSNBC contributor Nick Confessore argued that President Trump has “classic populist authoritarian politics” which hold that people outside the country are hurting it with the help of people inside of the country.
Confessore said, “I think it’s a mistake to say the president has no principles or policies. The president has the classic populist authoritarian politics. Which are, people outside the country are screwing our country, and bad people inside the country are helping it. That is his politics.”
