JEDDAH: Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah and adviser to King Salman, on Tuesday visited Rabigh, Khulays and Al-Kamil as part of his annual inspection tour of the governorates.
The aim of the visits is to listen to residents’ complaints and suggestions, and review development projects worth more than SR3 billion ($800.1 million).
Prince Khaled lay down the foundation stone for the first phase of the waterfront project at the King Abdul Aziz University branch in Rabigh, built on 12,000 square meters at a cost of SR50 million.
The project will include beaches, walkways, green spaces, playgrounds, a miniature marina for educational purposes, and service buildings.
Prince Khaled held a meeting with investors and businessmen to discuss promoting investment opportunities in each governorate.
During his visit to King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), he inspected projects and launched the third session of the “Tomouh” (ambition) program, organized by the KAEC in collaboration with King Abdul Aziz University.
Prince Khaled will conclude his tour on Wednesday in Jeddah, where he will chair the local council and inspect development projects.
