The White House has dipped into the Mouse House for its latest recruit. Former Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine has joined the White House press team.

Sunshine starred alongside Zendaya in the Disney Channel show Shake It Up which followed a group of teen dancers. She then pivoted from entertainment to politics interning for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party. She was also active in her schools model United Nations team. From there, she applied to become a White House intern and got in

Her new position with the White House press team comes at a time when the Trump administration has become a revolving door of hirings and firings. National security adviser H.R. McMaster was recently replaced with former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton. Before that, Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe — a day before he was about to retire. And before that Trump booted secretary of state, Rex Tillerson and put CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

Sunshine is the latest media figure added to the Trumpian fold. The aforementioned Bolton is also a Fox News analyst while CNBC host Larry Kudlow has stepped into the role as head of the White House National Economic Council.
