Discovery CEO David Zaslav Collects $42.2 Million Pay Package

Discovery Chief Executive Officer David Zaslav collected a $42.2 million pay package in 2017, up 13% from a year ago, according to documents filed today with SEC.

Zaslav earned a base salary of $3 million, stock awards valued at nearly $15 million and $15.6 million worth of options. He collected a bonus of more than $8 million and other compensation — such as his personal use of the corporate jet — valued at $505,000.

Thats well shy of the $156 million pay package from 2014 that made him one the highest-paid CEOs among American corporations.

Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels received compensation totaling nearly $6 million, while Chief Development Officer Bruce Campbell collected a pay package valued at $7.8 million.

Discovery Networks International President Jean-Briac Perrette received $8.2 million in total compensation last year.
