First childrens books exhibition concluded in Riyadh

RIYADH: The first childrens books exhibition in Riyadh was concluded on Friday. It was organized by the King Fahd Cultural Center and lasted for five days. Thirty-five publishing houses participated and presented more than 3,000 books.
The event was attended by more than 26,000 visitors, most of whom were children. It welcomed them on mornings and evenings.
The children had the chance to enjoy many activities during the exhibition. These activities included theater performances, childrens marching bands, workshops led by childhood specialists and talent shows.
A group of childrens authors signed their books and gifted them to the children. These books included ones by Dr. Bandar Asiri, Dr. Lamis Al-Saleem and Nourah Al-Sahli. Five workshops took place during the exhibition. They came under the titles “My child is the winner,” “My health and personality,” “NEOM 2030,” “Loud reading,” and “Childrens writing technics.” They were conducted by Manahil Al-Fariqi, Hanan Baterfi, Hutaf Al-Wadi, Samia Al-Issa and Fatima El-Hassan.
The exhibition aimed to develop the childrens perceptions and skills, enhance their love for reading and writing, and to bring all parties concerned with children together.
