Warner Bros Jack Horner Upped To Studios Worldwide Corp Comm Team

Warner Bros.

Warner Bros VP Theatrical Communications Jack Horner, who joined the Burbank studio close to six years ago from News Corp, is moving from his role as studio spokesperson with the trade and business press to a new post on the Worldwide Corporate Communications team.

Horner will be reporting to Dee Dee Myers, Warner Bros EVP Worldwide Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, and will work closely with Paul McGuire, SVP WW Corporate Communications. In his new role, Horner will work on broader communications and strategy in support of the entire studio.

Horner in his previous post oversaw communications on Warners production, marketing, distribution, legal and crisis issues. Throughout his tenure, he has managed messaging on three studio regime changes at the studio. Horner was hired under the Jeff Robinov regime in 2012, then operated under a trio that included production chief Greg Silverman, marketing and distribution boss Sue Kroll and then ultimately New Line chief-turned-Warner Bros boss Toby Emmerich.

He has worked on the studios most prolific titles including Wonder Woman, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, American Sniper, Suicide Squad, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Dunkirk and Gravity to name a few.

Emmerich will be bringing in his own Corporate Communications exec; ;Horners replacement isnt officially named yet.

Here is Myers note to staff:

Dear All:

I wanted to share some good news about a change were making in the Corporate Communications group.

Jack Horner, who has handled business and trade press for the theatrical group for the last five and a half years, will be refocusing his efforts and now work on broader communications and strategy in support of the entire Studio. With the 24-hour news cycle and new press outlets coming online every day, Im excited to be able to tap his expertise and extensive media relationships to benefit all of Warner Bros.

This move is reflective of the companys recent initiative on internal mobility, as well as Jacks desire to take on new challenges and expand his skill set.

Jack has done a terrific job for the Pictures Group, and I know hell bring that same level of commitment and determination to this new role.

Please join me in congratulating Jack.

All best,
Dee Dee
