WATCH: How boys football team trapped in Thai cave communicated with families

A new video of a Thai boys football team who were trapped in a cave emerged on Wednesday, in which the 12 boys were shown to be “in good health.”

The young boys, who were trapped in the cave for nine days after a heavy storm caused a blockage at the entrance, appeared in the video where they greeted the camera with a traditional Thai greeting before introducing themselves and updating their families on their health.

Their 25-year-old coach, who accompanied the boys down the cave after football training on June 23, did not appear in the footage published on the Thai Navys Facebook page.

Before the boys were saved by two British recuse divers on Monday, authorities said the group was looked after by seven members of the Thai navy SEALs, including medics, who stayed with them in the cave.

SEAL Commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew said that the rescue team was not worried about getting the boys out of the cave quickly since they were safe.

Experts warned against taking the boys, who were inexperienced divers, through the dangerous corridors of muddy, zero-visibility waters, and since none of the boys know how to swim, diving out of the cave would have been risky.

The newly released video is the second clip that was released following the groups rescue from inside one of Thailands longest caves.
