If you're planning on spending your weekend basking in the sun then we've got good news, as scorching weather is set to heat London up.
The met office said temperatures could reach as high as 30°C in London on Sunday while clouds will scatter on Saturday morning before the mercury rises to 29°C.
Forecasts suggest we could have even hotter weather just round the corner, as areas of the UK could feel temperatures of 33°C next week, which would equal the record for hottest day in the UK so far this summer set in Porthmadog, Wales in June.
Meteorologist Steven Keates said:
There will still be dribs and drabs of drizzly rain in places but the amount of rain at this stage should probably not be much.
Most places will see some sunshine by the afternoon but there still will be quite a lot of cloud in some places – it wont be wall-to-wall sunshine.
The record breaking summer has even led bookie Coral to cut its odds on this summer being the hottest on record to 1-4.
Coral's John Hill said: "It is looking increasingly likely that this summer will end as the hottest ever in the UK and that is reflected in the betting as it is now long odds-on for the summer of 2018 to go down in the history books."
