Russian sisters face 15 years of jail after stabbing abusive father to death

After years of abusing his daughters, Mikhail Khachaturyan died by the elevator of his house in Moscow after being stabbed by the three girls on Friday.

He was found with dozens of stab wounds.

Khachaturyans daughters, Kristina, 19, Angelina, 18, and Maria, 17, who will now face 15 years of jail time, have been charged with the murder of their father, Russian law enforcement has confirmed.

The daughters of the heroin addict, admitted to the murder, claiming that they had suffered years of physical, mental and sexual abuse, Russia Today reported.

“We hated him and we wanted just one thing to happen- either that he disappeared or that we never knew him,” the newspaper reported Kristina, his eldest daughter as saying to the police.

“We wanted him just to go away and never come back.”

Friends and neighbors claimed that Khachaturyan was a “mafia boss” and had connections with criminals.

The 57-year-old put up surveillance cameras around the apartment to watch what the girls were doing while he was away.

“He was always beating them,” Russia Today quoted a family friend as saying.

“Once he took them to a forest and threatened to kill them. The mother ran away from him, he banned all communication with her.”

According to 112, a local Telegram news channel, the father raped one of his daughters.

After the sexual attack, she attempted suicide by overdosing on pills but was rescued by doctors. The father persuaded the medics that it was not a suicide attempt but “just a mistake,” 112 reported.

According to Russia Today, the gruesome murder involved the girls giving their father hammer blows to the head, and stabbing a knife through his heart.

Two kilograms of heroin, two rifles, three handguns and a signal flare gun were found after police searched his car.
