“Various electrical projects were planned by the end of last years Hajj season and were established over the past months through Saudi competence and expertise and the companys distinguished personnel. They are a part of the companys strategy to check the reliability of the electrical services in all the sites,” he added.
Al-Shiha also visited the SECs offices in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, and discussed details of plans for this years Hajj season with the companys officials.
SEC engineers and technicians have carried out the maintenance and safety program for the generation of plants in preparation for the Hajj season. They provided a sufficient number of units to cover the expected maximum loads.
The companys teams also reviewed all technical standards and plans so it would be possible to export more electricity from the central and southern regions to backup the western regions electrical system, if necessary.
