Saudi Attaché in US forms committee to move Saudi students from Canada to US

Saudi Cultural Attaché in the Kingdoms Embassy in the United States, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Issa, confirmed on Wednesday that the mission is forming an emergency committee to assist Saudi students in Canada in order to secure a fast and smooth transition to the United States.

Dr. Issa added that this committee will be headed by the assistant director for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed al-Freihi, manager of the medical programs Dr. Hadeel al-Saleh, and manager of academic accreditation and documentation Dr. Nashme al-Rashidi.

The Saudi Cultural Attaché told the Saudi Press Agency that the difficult part relating to the issue is the students who are studying medicine as there are around 1,000 male and female medical students in Canada, and that his department is doing its best to place them in medical programs in the US.

Dr. Issa said “we started communicating with medical program managers and American hospitals to assist the Saudi doctors and we have got all the support from the American Universities.”

He said more than 20 American Universities have expressed its readiness to take in the students transferred from Canada.

The Cultural Attaché at the Kingdoms Embassy in Washington confirmed that the mission is working at a fast and continuous pace at both the Saudi Embassies in Canada and the US to facilitate the smooth and smooth transfer of the Saudi students.
