King Salman inaugurates development projects in Madinah

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabias King Salman has inaugurated a number of development projects in Madinah on Wednesday.
King Salman arrived at the palace in Madinah where the ceremony was being held.
The city of Madinah had been decorated with Saudi flags, green illumination and pictures of the Saudi King accompanied with welcoming banners. The visit marks the King Salmans fourth to the city his reign began.
The inaugurated projects included a Specialty Hospital, Al Miqat Hospital, and a water treatment plant, according to Al-Ekhbariya TV.
He also opened the King Salman International Conference Center in Madinah, established on a total area of 91,000 square meters, including 60,000 square meters of buildings.
It includes a main hall for celebrations with a capacity for 2,500 people and three multi-purpose halls that can accommodate up to 500 people each.
Residents of Madinah commended what they called the “fatherly visit from a wise leader” during a ceremony aired on Saudi television.
“Under your reign we witnessed support for all development projects,” the residents in Madinah said.
Saudi Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah thanked his royal highnesss generous support for the health sector.
On the inauguration of the new water plant, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said the General Establishment for Water Desalination is working to fulfill the kingdoms Vision 2030.
The visit followed Saudi Arabias 88th National Day celebrations at the weekend, which was marked with nationwide festivities .
