Amir, Nigerian president review ties

The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday discussed bilateral relations and the prospects of developing them in economic, investment, energy, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.

During official talks at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Tuesday, they also exchanged views and stances of both countries on regional and international developments.
The talks were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.

From the Nigerian side, the session was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials.
Earlier upon arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the Amir received an honorary key to the capital Abuja from Nigerian Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Muhammad Bello as a welcome gift, followed by a welcome performance by a folkloric Nigerian group.

After leaving Nigeria, the Amir sent a cable expressing sincere thanks and appreciation to the Nigerian president and the friendly people of Nigeria for the warm welcome, hospitality and honour accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit.

The Amir wished the Nigeria president good health and happiness and the Nigerian people further development and prosperity.
