V K Singh terms roadways as pre-requisite for growth, development

JAMMU: Junior road, transport and highways minister General VK Singh (retd) said the Centre is committed to developing J&K UT, adding that road connectivity is pre-requisite for growth and development.
The second day of outreach programme in Udhampur witnessed an overwhelming participation of Panchayati Raj Institution representatives and the general public. While addressing the gathering, Singh appreciated the efforts of district administration towards conservation of water and focus on organic farming.
During his interaction, Singh took feedback of various government schemes on the ground. He said road connectivity is the basic requirement for growth and development of an area and the Center is endeavoring hard to establish a strong road network in the UT.
