Award for RPF constable who saved 3 children on track, but lost his life

NEW DELHI: The government has posthumously awarded Police Medal for Gallantry to one Jagbir Singh Rana, who lost his life while saving three children near Adarsh Nagar railway station last April. The incident took place on April 24, 2019.
Rana was on night duty when at a signal when he spotted three children were crossing up tracks. “The children were on the track when train no-14011 (Hosiyarpur express) was only a few meters away from them and was speeding.
