NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will hear on Tuesday a petition filed by Nirbhaya gang-rape case condemned prisoner Mukesh challenging the Presidents decision to reject his mercy plea and fixing February 1 as the date for his hanging.
When the petition was mentioned on Monday morning for urgent hearing by his counsel Vrinda Grover, a bench headed by CJI S A Bobde said any petition filed by a death row prisoner would be given top priority for hearing.
