JAMMU: Pakistan breached the truce along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakote sector of Rajouri district late on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after violating ceasefire along the LoC in the districts Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors on Monday.
“Around 8.30pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked firing of small arms and intense mortar shelling along the LoC in Manjakote sector, to which the Indian Army retaliated effectively,” Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said.
There has been a spurt in ceasefire violations by Pakistan since a month now.
