Congress keeps up attack on BJP over migrants crisis

NEW DELHI: Congress continued it attack on BJP for the migrant crisis, with the transport of workers to Delhi-UP border by Rajasthan becoming the latest point of confrontation.
The buses were mobilised after Congresss general secretary in-charge of UP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote to the UP government offering to bear the cost of getting the migrants home. After Vadra sought to play up the denial of permission as the UP governments failure to help the migrants, UP on Monday permitted their movement.
Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel alleged that the Modi governments “failure” led to trauma being faced by migrants. Baghel said the repatriation of about 25,000 people to Chhattisgarh had not been completed because permissions for travel were delayed or denied by BJP-led states like Karnataka and UP, and from the UT administration of Jammu & Kashmir.
