Congress spreading rumors at BSP would forge an alliance with BJP: Mayawati

LUCKNOW: BSP chief Mayawati on Sunday sharpened her attack on the Congress accusing the grand of old party of spreading rumours that her party would forge an alliance with the BJP to form the government in the next assembly elections in UP.
“We want to make it amply clear that BSP would never ever enter into any kind of alliance with the BJP in the future elections,” Mayawati said. She said that the BJP was treading the footsteps of Congress in forming policies which were not suited for the poor, especially the migrants, who were forced to leave their home state in search of jobs.
The BJP government at the Centre and the state, she said, should have provided enough job opportunities to the poor to check their migrations. “But that never happened and now post lockdown, the migrants are forced to walk all the way to their native districts,” she said. According to UP government own estimate more than 20 lakh migrants have already returned to UP post Corona induced lockdown.
