HC issues notice to Twitter, govt on communal tweets

HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court issued notices on Monday to Twitter and the Union Cabinet and state home secretaries asking why provocative tweets linking the coronavirus pandemic to Islam and Muslims had not been removed, reports SagarKumar Mutha.
The notices were issued after advocate Khaja Aijazuddin filed a PIL accusing Twitter of giving hate-mongers a platform to spread fear against Islam during the pandemic.
