Good English, being handsome aren’t everything: Gehlot takes dig at Pilot

NEW DELHI: Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot took an apparent dig at his former deputy and Congress rebel Sachin Pilot on Wednesday, saying that speaking good English and being handsome are not everything in politics.
"Speaking good English, giving good bytes and being handsome isn't everything. What is inside your heart for the country, your ideology, policies, and commitment, everything is considered," Gehlot told reporters today.
Gehlot also accused Pilot of involvement in horse trading with the BJP.
Pilot was removed from the posts of the Rajasthan deputy chief minister and the state Congress president on Tuesday amid a power tussle with Gehlot.
Gehlot said he has the proof that horse trading was being committed to topple his government.
“Those who are giving clarifications were themselves involved in horse trading,” Gehlot told reporters.
