Stephen Smith can put himself in line for another world title shot this weekend when he takes on former world champion Francisco Vargas in Las Vegas.
Smith (25-3) has had two cracks at a super featherweight world crown before, losing via unanimous decision to Jason Sosa and Jose Pedraza, both in 2016.

The main event of the evening is a clash between Tevin Farmer (25-4-1) and Kenichi Ogawa (22-1) for the vacant IBF super featherweight strap.

The bout is on Saturday, December 9 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, so it will be shown live in the early hours of Sunday in the UK.
