Jurgen Klopp believes the ‘fab four’ nickname adopted by Liverpool fans in praise of Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino is disrespectful.
The quartet were in outstanding form in midweek, adding to their burgeoning reputation as one of the most feared forward lines in Europe, as Liverpool secured qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners following a 7-0 win over CSKA Moscow.
Coutinho, wearing the captain’s armband for the first time, scored his first hat-trick for the club, while Salah scored the 18th goal of his outstanding first season at the club following his summer move from Roma.
Mane and Firmino were also on the scoresheet and although Klopp acknowledged the form of the attacking quartet, he believes the nickname they have earned doesn’t take into account the recent contributions of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, or the impending return of Adam Lallana.
‘‘Fab Four’ that’s disrespectful to other players,’ said Klopp ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside derby against Everton.

‘We played a fantastic game with West Ham and Ox was involved.
‘Adam Lallana has not been fit but he would fit in well with any boy band on the planet. Sturridge, Solanke… it’s not fair on them.’
