The stunning half live-action half computer animated two-minute visuals see Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz (Daisuke Ido) rescue an amnesiac female cyborg named Alita, (Rosa Salazar) thrusting her into an all-out war between humans and robots.
On a reported $200 million budget, and based on the Graphic Novel (or Manga) Series: “Gunnm” By Yukito Kishiro, Alita is the decade-plus brainchild of Cameron, who is currently preparing multiple Avatar sequels.
The film’s all-star cast includes Jackie Earl Haley, Ed Skrein, Michelle Rodriguez, Jennifer Connelly, and Mahershala Ali.
Alita: Battle Angel opens in theaters everywhere July 20, 2018.
