Arsenal will make another move for Thomas Lemar during the January transfer window, but will bid well below the £90million offer they made in August.
The Gunners could be highly active when the mid-season window opens, with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez potentially leaving the club before their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Should either or both depart, replacements will be needed.

Arsenal tried to sign Monaco winger Lemar last summer but they were unable to agree a deal.
They will return with a new bid, but it won’t be as high as the £90m that was on the table in August, according to reports.
That offer was funded by the potential £60million sale of Sanchez to Manchester City, which Arsenal had agreed to on the basis they sign a replacement.
Even if Sanchez joins Man City next month, the fee will be well below £60m and the offer for Lemar will be adjusted accordingly according to theDaily Mail.

While a lower offer will harm Arsenal’s chances of signing the France international, their hopes will be buoyed by the player himself.
Over the summer Lemar was unconvinced by a switch away from Monaco, however the 22-year-old is now thought to be keen on a move.
The Gunners are also being linked with Paris St Germain youngster Goncalo Guedes.
