Attention all Star Wars heads.
Do you want to own a lovely piece of film memorabilia?
Do you want it to be as luxe and fancy as possible?
Do you, in fact, want to own a Star Wars leather helmet made from Louis Vuitton handbags? Of course, you do!
Well, artist and sculptor Gabriel Dishaw spends his time doing just that – upcycling LV bags into amazing Star Wars helmets.
He also uses parts from typewriters and old computers to create his Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Stormtrooper-inspired sculptures.
Gabriel says his mission is ‘to create dialogue and help find creative, environmentally sound ways of re-purposing e-waste’…while at the same time creating some seriously sick art.
He’s a ‘super-passionate’ about the Star Wars films and says that it’s only logical that it would progress into his art.
But where do the LV bags come in?
‘I found some old Louis Vuitton bags when I was travelling and I was like, “how can I upcycle these materials to recreate Star wars?”.
‘I think nerdy is kind of trendy now, especially a lot of the energy around Star Wars’.
And if his 13.3k followers are anything to go by, Gabriel’s right.
You can actually bag one of his designer sculptures for a smooth $2,500 (£1,872).
