Manchester United have made an approach to sign Lazio defender Stefan De Vrij, according to reports in Italy.
De Vrij is in his fourth season at Stadio Olimpico but the 25-year-old centre-back is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

The Netherlands international is out of contract at Lazio next summer and it’s understood a number of top European clubs are ready to battle for his signature.
Liverpool failed with a £30million bid to land De Vrij in the summer transfer window and the Merseyside giants remain keen on the Dutchman.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Liverpool’s bitter rivals, United, have stepped up their interest in De Vrij.
