Benfica are ready to sanction the sale of Manchester United transfer target Umaro Embalo if they receive and offer in the region of €13million, according to reports in Portugal.

The 16-year-old has been identified by the Premier League giants as one for the future but are likely to face competition from the likes of RB Leipzig and Real Madrid.

Embalo’s agent confirmed last month that talks had taken place with Untied but that his client was in big demand.

‘Nothing is done, and the conversation, nobody communicated anything to me, nor to the parents. He has interest from several clubs, because he is an asset of Benfica and has gone down this route well,’ Embalo’s agent told A Bola.

‘I can say that all the great clubs in Europe have already asked for information about Umaro, from Germany, England, Spain, France.

‘If he’s going to Manchester is something that I don’t know at all, but it’s true that we have already met with Benfica and Manchester, there is no agreement, but there are conversations.’

Benfica had initially been reluctant to sell but A Bola reports that the Portuguese club are now warming to the idea of cashing on the talented teenager.
