UFC’s Dana White Hints Floyd Mayweather Jr Could Come Over to UFC — ‘Don’t Count Anything Out’

In an appearance Thursday on Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed,” UFC president Dana White said “anything is possible” regarding retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. coming over to fight in the octagon.

Mayweather fought Conor McGregor, who came over from the UFC, and the two drew 4.3 million pay-per-view buys. The undefeated boxer retired in August after defeating McGregor and has previously shot down rumors he was interested, but White said he has a meeting with Mayweather’s team about a potential fight.

“He had come out earlier and said that, so that’s why people were asking me about it, and I said don’t count anything out on him coming over to the UFC, that anything is possible. And I still don’t,” White said. “Listen, you guys know I was here, I did not believe that McGregor-Mayweather would happen and it did. So anything is possible.”

White stated that he does not believe Mayweather is truly retired from boxing or potentially the UFC, adding, “He will fight again.”
