IFC has acquired Fleabag from creator, writer, and actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The BAFTA-winning, six-part series about a dry-witted and unfiltered woman navigating life and love in London will premiere on IFC on Boxing Day, Wednesday, Dec. 26.
All six episodes of the series will air beginning at 11:00 pm and encore again in late night.
Adapted from her play of the same name, the dark but hilarious Fleabag follows Waller-Bridge through London as she tries to cope with recent tragedy. In addition to Fleabag, Waller-Bridge is also the writer and executive producer of Killing Eve, which earned her an Emmy nomination for outstanding writing for a drama series, a Golden Globe and Critics Choice nomination for Best Drama, and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for star Sandra Oh. Killing Eve airs on IFCs sister network, BBC AMERICA.

The half-hour comedyis the newest addition to IFCs international comedy line-up, which includes two British series from Matt Berry: Toast of London, and the upcoming original co-production Year of the Rabbit, as well as the subversive female voices of Canadas Baroness von Sketch Show.
Fleabag is produced by Two Brothers Pictures for BBC Three and Amazon Prime USA in association with DryWrite. It is directed by Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve), and executive produced by Harry Williams and Jack Williams (Liar) of Two Brothers Pictures, Lydia Hampson (Cheat) and Waller-Bridge, and distributed by all3media International.
