Statehood, 4G only after last gun is silenced: J&K BJP chief

SRINAGAR: Kashmir might need to wait for the last terrorist gun to fall silent before its statehood and 4G internet are restored, but there are "no ifs and buts as far as assembly polls are concerned", BJP's J&K general secretary Ashok Koul said on Saturday.
Taking a potshot at mainstream political functionaries who have said they won't contest the assembly polls, Koul said, "They didnt contest the panchayat polls either, but jumped into the fray during the parliamentary elections. I bet that when the bugle for the assembly elections is blown, all these mainstream functionaries will come out of their homes like frogs to join the poll process."
