Dow drops as former Trump adviser pleads guilty to FBI charge

Donald Trump's former national security adviser has pleaded guilty to a charge of making false statements to the FBI earlier this year.

Michael Flynn falsely stated that he did not ask the Russian ambassador to refrain from escalating the situation after US imposed sanctions on Russia, according to court filings.

The Dow dropped more than 120 points today after various outlets reported that Flynn is prepared to testify that the US President directed him to make contact with the Russians.

Flynn resigned from his White House role in February, over claims he had secretly briefed Russian officials.
