Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant winner against Gremio as Real Madrid were crowned the Club World Cup champions for the second successive season.

It was a clever free-kick that just about crept inside the post and the goal sparked wild celebrations from the Real squad.

Real players, including the substitutes bench, rushed to celebrate with Ronaldo and Casemiro clearly misjudged his jump.

The Brazilian was running at break neck speed towards the group of players surrounding Ronaldo and leaps in the air, but flies by his team-mates and ends up going over head first into the grass.

It’s a hilarious moment and it seems Casemiro’s spill did not go unnoticed by his team-mates.

Gareth Bale seems to be teasing Casemiro moments later and we expect it may take a while for the midfielder to live this moment down.

Casemiro was picked up by Marcelo before he got the chance to hug Ronaldo a few moments later.

Ronaldo’s second-half goal was the difference between the sides and was enough for Real to carve out a bit of history for themselves.

The back-to-back Champions League winners are the first team to retain the Club World Cup.

The trophy is a welcome boost for Real who have struggled to maintain their form this season.
