Donald Trump Tweets GOP Having Good Year, Will “Do Well In 2018”

President Donald Trump, still smarting over Trump-backed Roy Moore’s stunning defeat in Alabama, tweeted this morning the GOP is having a good year:

“Remember, Republicans are 5-0 in Congressional Races this year. The media refuses to mention this. I said Gillespie and Moore would lose (for very different reasons) and they did.”

“I also predicted ‘I’ would win,” Trump tweeted. Much interesting speculation Monday morning as to why POTUS put “I” in quote marks.

“Republicans will do well in 2018, very well!” Trump insisted, tagging the tweet with his fave morning show, Fox and Friends.

While political pundits mulled how he/Fox and Friends forgot about Dem. Jimmy Gomez’s June election to Congress in California, WaPo reports Trump plans to travel extensively and hold rallies for the 2018 midterm elections, being most comfortable speaking to crowds that clap back.

“This isn’t about adulation and cheering crowds,” a Trump surrogate insisted at WaPo. “This is about re-electing Republicans.”

Trump’s tweet:

Remember, Republicans are 5-0 in Congressional Races this year. The media refuses to mention this. I said Gillespie and Moore would lose (for very different reasons), and they did. I also predicted “I” would win. Republicans will do well in 2018, very well! @foxandfriends
