Mobile lab with test capacity of 1k/day launched

NEW DELHI: The DRDO, in collaboration with ESIC hospital at Hyderabad and private industry, has developed a mobile virology research and diagnostics laboratory (MVRDL) that can process over 1,000 samples in a day.
Launching the MVRDL through video conferencing on Thursday, defence minister Rajnath Singh said the setting up of this mobile “Bio-Safety Level-2 and Level-3 lab testing facility in a record time of 15 days” will enhance countrys capabilities in fighting Covid-19.
