Over 9 lakh Covid suspects under watch, says NCDC director

NEW DELHI: The government is rigorously monitoring over 9.45 lakh people under its community surveillance programme for suspected Covid-19 cases, officials said on Friday.
“Through our continuous efforts, we have kept over 9 lakh people, who might possibly be infected with coronavirus, on surveillance, based on data collected from 734 districts. The collected data was effectively analysed through epidemiological intelligence,” said Dr Sujeet Singh, Director, National Centre for Disease Control.
