A young Iraqi girl from the Basra governorate died after falling into an open sewer hole.
The video, captured on a surveillance camera, shows the girl slipping and falling on the floor at first, only to get up and fall again into the sewer hole.
Dr. Hanan al-Fatlawi, head of Irada movement and member of former Iraqi parliaments foreign relations committee, condemned the incident and published the video on her Twitter account.

Her tweet read: “A painful video shows the moment that little Fatima falls into the open sewer hole that does not have a cover. The incident led to her death, who bares the responsibility for that?? Open sewer holes with no covers… I want a copy of this video to be sent to the governor of Basra, the governorate council, and the minister of municipalities.”
